Longarm machine quilting will elevate your quilt to the next level. Follow these simple guidelines for the best possible results.
First, your quilt backing and batting should be 5" bigger all around your quilt. Thats 10" wider and 10" longer total!

Clip all loose threads.

Iron your quilt top and backing carefully.
Reinforce the seams at the edges of your quilt with some back stitching.

Quilt top, backing, and batting should be completely square. Otherwise, your quilting will not be straight or your quilt could have puckers. Make sure your borders are not wavy.

Pieced backing is great! But make sure your seams are horizontal across the backing of the quilt. This way, your quilt is not rolled out of square on the frame

If you like to press your seams open, shorten your stitch length to keep your seams from wobbling.

If your quilt top or backing is directional, hang a marker in the top left corner to draw my attention to it.!

That's it! Carefully planning for the longarmer provides for the best results. Quilts that require extra preparation or repair will be fixed at a rate of $40 per hour or portion there of.
